2007 Press Releases
Introduction of a new service for U.S. visa applicants, June 6, 2007
The United States Office in Pristina is pleased to announce the introduction of a new service for visa applicants to pay their visa application fees at Raiffeisen Bank branches throughout Kosovo.
Beginning June 11, 2007, applicants for non-immigrant visas at the U.S. Embassy in Skopje will be able to pay their visa application fees (also known as MRV, or Machine Readable Visa, fees) at Raiffeisen Bank branches throughout Kosovo. Until now, visa application fees could only be paid in Macedonia at branches of Komercijalna Banka.
This new service will provide greater choice and convenience to visa applicants by allowing them to pay their visa application fees in either Kosovo or Macedonia before appearing for their visa interviews at the U.S. Embassy in Skopje. With the introduction of this service, visa applicants can now choose whether to pay their visa application fees at Raiffeisen Bank in Kosovo or at Komercijalna Banka in Macedonia.
Visa applicants are reminded that they will still need to obtain a personal identification number (PIN) from either Komercijalna Banka in Macedonia or Raiffeisen Bank in Kosovo in order to schedule an appointment for a visa interview at the U.S. Embassy in Skopje.
