Program News…

«Announcing the Minority Integration Community»
We have established a special section of the State Alumni website for current participants, alumni, program partners, and DOS personnel who are interested in the integration of minority communities.  The Minority Integration Community (https://alumni.state.gov/integration) is a place to share news on current programs and the successes of alumni who participated in integration-related exchanges, to get to know what is happening apart from State Department programs, and for alumni from different countries and backgrounds to engage one another, get to know each other, and network.
To navigate to the Minority Integration Community, log in to State Alumni at https://alumni.state.gov, locate the "Communities" menu on the right side of the page, under the region map, and select "Minority Integration Community".

«The Democracy Video Challenge»
The Democracy Video Challenge, a global call to action celebrating democracy, invites citizens from around the world to create short videos that complete the phrase: "Democracy is..." in an effort to enchance the global dialogue on democracy. Participants could win an all-expense paid trip to Washington, New York and Hollywood to attend gala screenings of the winning videos, gain exposure to the U.S. film and television industry and meet with creative talent, democracy leaders and government leaders. For additional information and to participate, visit: http://www.videochallenge.america.gov

«New Resource for Alumni Association Development»
Download the new "Running an Effective Alumni Association" Manual, which is available on the Alumni Association Resources Community of State Alumni (https://alumni.state.gov/alumni-association-resources/association-resources).  While alumni associations may follow different paths of development and may take varying forms, this handbook presents a set of guidelines and best practices that many successful alumni associations have developed and followed with proven success.
